Fiberglass is the most popular pool option on the market today, and it's easy to see why.
Fiberglass is exceptionally durable, quickly installed, and loaded with features.
With lower maintenance and fewer repairs over time than vinyl or concrete, it’s no wonder that more homeowners are choosing fiberglass pools to create their backyard oasis!
If you’re considering adding a pool to your backyard, what concerns give you pause? Do you worry about the expense of the chemicals or increased energy costs? Are you afraid you’ll spend all your time taking care of it? Are you concerned that a pool would lower the resale value of your house?
With fiberglass, many of these concerns vanish. As you can see from the chart on this page, fiberglass is easily the best option for achieving the backyard you’ve been dreaming of without adding a ton of trouble and work.
What is a Fiberglass Pool?
Even with the additional time allotted for inspections and other installation processes, fiberglass pool installation is still the faster option compared to the months of construction for a concrete pool.
In addition, fiberglass pools are well suited to areas with cold weather seasons because the flexural strength of fiberglass prevents cracking during freezing-thawing cycles. Fiberglass pools are made of highly durable materials and will last for years to come.
How Much Does a Fiberglass Pool Cost?
Fiberglass pool costs start at about $65,000 and go up from there.
Things that affect this number include size, features included, and brand. Although we carry pools at a variety of different price points, most of our models are in the $80,000 and up range. While this is somewhat more expensive than vinyl on larger pools on the front end, the difference in quality means you’ll save significant money over the life of the pool with fewer chemicals, lower energy costs, less maintenance, no liner replacement, and far fewer repairs.

What are the Long-Term Savings?
This non-porous surface also prevents algae from embedding into the surface of the pool, so fewer chemicals and less maintenance work are needed to keep it clean.
Many pump and filter systems run in shorter cycles or lower speeds than older models, keeping energy usage low as well.
The thickness of the fiberglass pool shell means it almost certainly will not leak, as opposed to a vinyl liner which is vulnerable to tears, especially as it ages. Finding and repairing these leaks can be costly, and a vinyl liner has to be replaced every few years to the tune of $5,000-$15,000! Concrete pools provide a bit more longevity before they need to be resurfaced—usually 10-15 years or so—but this comes with a similar price tag. By choosing a fiberglass pool, you never have to deal with this.
Your fiberglass pool shell comes with a warranty lasting anywhere from 50 years to the lifetime of the pool.
