Home / Add beauty & enjoyment to your pool with water features
You want your swimming pool to be your personal escape. Your backyard oasis. And while the swimming pool alone brings hours of fun and relaxation, water features can add an entirely new dimension to the experience. Water features can be added to any fiberglass or concrete pool.
It’s easiest, of course, to plan your water features while your pool is under construction. But if you already have a pool and now you’d like to add a feature, don’t despair. These elements can be added to existing swimming pools.
Types of water features
Deck Jets are a popular water feature. They form shimmering arcs of water from your pool deck into the water, and they can even be outfitted with LED lights for a fun light show effect.
Cascades and Waterfalls are also popular features, and can be designed to fit nearly any pool theme. You may be wondering if there’s really a difference between the two. The answer is, yes! With cascade features, the water rolls over several rocks or rock slabs and then tumbles into the pool. A waterfall may include a couple of tumbles depending on its height, but in the end the water will fall at least a few feet into the pool.
Bubblers are small “fountains” that typically sit at the edge of the pool. Often, bubblers are animals like frogs or turtles, mermaids, or even bowls or planters that spill over into the pool.
Sheer Descents produce varying arcs of water from a height, into your pool. Choose from a clear arc of water, a rain waterfall and more. Some options are available with fiber optic light for a truly unique experience.
That’s a lot of choices – and it’s really only the beginning. If you’re having trouble deciding which features make the most sense for your pool and your budget, give us a call. We’re here to help.
