Luxury Water for Charity Water

We are excited to begin a new charity project (starting November 2015). We have the privilege of installing luxury water for our clients when many people do not have clean water to drink or cook with. Clean water changes absolutely everything. It gives our clients lower stress levels and family and recreation time, but clean drinking water is a basic need for many people. We believe this at Parrot Bay Pools & Spas, so this year we are committing $500 for every new construction pool we sell over $30,000 to Charity: Water.

That’s right, you read that correctly. For each inground pool, we install over $30,000 we contribute $500 to Charity: Water. When we reach $10,000, which shouldn’t take long with all of you swimmers out there needing pools, then we sponsor a community well drilling project! It’s that simple.

Why Charity: Water?

1. When a community gets access to clean water, it can change just about everything. It can improve health, increase access to food, grow local economies, and help kids spend more time in school. Diseases from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
2. We have clean water everywhere. We could drink from our toilets if we needed to, but in many countries their water is not safe to drink and terrible illnesses spread. 90% of the 30,000 deaths that occur every week from unsafe water and unhygienic living conditions are in children under five years old (source: World Health Organization).
3. We have been looking for a charity to get behind for years now. There are so many to choose from and it’s hard to find the right one that speaks to your heart and will do good with your money. Our owners were listening to a Podcast and heard the story of how Charity: Water began and were inspired. You will be too, read here. 100% of donated funds builds wells for clean water access. How is that possible? Because a list of about 100 families gives the rest of the money for overhead expenses from staples to paperclips to payroll for Charity: Water employees. This ensures all donated money is 100% used for good causes. Wow!
4. We hope you’ll join us. We encourage you to live a life of gratefulness and help others with basic needs. If we install your pool and you want to contribute to our combined project just let us know. Once the well is begun they will send photos and GPS tracking. Charity: Water has received one of the largest grants Google has ever given in order for donors to have transparency of where and how their well is working. Pretty cool, huh? (and we don’t say cool or huh very often)
